Southwark Park Gallery Show

My work from the BA Fine Art 3rd Year Camberwell College of Arts Show at SPG, 2022

A series of three long collages, made to be read as a poem of colour, rhythm and shape where images of colonial narratives are exposed through absurdity and nonsense.

By working with found imagery collected over time, these collages reflect my own dialogue with aesthetics of colonial thought. (eg. images from national geographic magazines and maps I was shown the in classroom as a child).

An installation with yellow and red yarn made to hang from the ceiling, colours taken from old Portuguese propaganda maps, evokes painterly qualities of markmaking and materially echoes working-class processes of weaving.
