A collaborative kinetic sculpture, image fragments from a year of news, and ash from each week's news images.
The wooden box holds a spring motor. Wound up, it turns the weaving around the box, shifting light around the room.
The ongoing work with news imagery shows making by unmaking - fragmenting the images and burning them - as a way of inviting beauty and animism in the absence of material integrity.
